CPR/BLS for Healthcare Professionals Level 2
Learn the Essentials of Basic Life Support required to save a life. This course is tailored to those working in the care sector.
Medical professionals with a duty to respond in an emergency are required to complete annual BLS training. You can complete this course as initial training or as your annual refresher.
The UK Resuscitation Council 2015 guidelines state, “Short video/computer self-instruction courses, with minimal or no instructor coaching, combined with hands-on practice can be considered as an effective alternative to instructor-led BLS and AED courses.”
This Basic Life Support course has been designed to meet all the required learning outcomes that are aligned to the Skills for Health UK Core Skills Training Framework or UK-CSTF. This includes both level 2 adult and paediatric patient care. The course is also Skills for Care Endorsed and follows the requirements set out in the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines for adult and Paediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) basic life support (BLS).
This course covers basic life support skills and includes skills for adults, children, and infants as well as healthcare variations on infant CPR. The course includes:
